In May 2001, my parents gave us our first camcorder–or as Madysen called it at the time “camera corder.” I never utilized it as much as I should have, but I recently converted the few videos I did make to DVD.
In June 2001, I think I used the camcorder for the first time. At that time, we were living in Cleveland, I had recently graduated from law school, and Holly was 8 months pregnant with Emma. Layla had turned 2 a couple of months previously, Madysen was 7, Speed–”Peed” as Layla called him–6.
In this video, Layla plays peek-a-boo with Holly, she refuses help putting her Cat in the Hat hat on, runs from Speed, and does me one favor–”just one”–by singing the ABCs. Funny little girl. [Because of space limitations for the beta WordPress video player, this is just the first half of the video. Update: Entire video now posted, thought best action remains in the first half that was originally posted.]
