Isn't she cute? On June 29, just eleven days before emerging into the world
On July 10, 2001, while I was studying for the Ohio Bar Exam, which was only two weeks later (nice timing!), little Emma Perry was born at 11:52 a.m. in Cleveland, Ohio at the Cleveland Clinic. She weighed a hefty–you’d never guess by seeing her now–8 lbs., 6 oz., which was huge by our standards, and was 19 3/4 inches.

The Birth Announcement

Seriously, newly born; our only child born with hair

Possibly, the last silent moment I can recall

Holly, Emma, and Speed in the hospital

And with the head only of Madysen

Layla and her thumb remind us that she's little too

Probably too little for that big Icee

Some crazy bedhead

Me and my baby
The next day we went home.

The anxiety has worn her out

The house decorated with "It's A Girl!" signs by the kids and our crazy friend, Alean
Alean and the kids made this sign (we’ve since taken the candy out of the wrappers):

"Emma, We've waited nine months for this (Pay)day and Her-she-ys! We 3 Musketeers are filled with (Almond) Joy! Be Twix us Airheads, we will be Extra helpful with your Baby Bottle to make you Chunky. Our family is Extra Jolly (Rancher) that you're here and we love you Mounds. Love, Big Red (Speed), Madysen, Layla."

Emma's first home bath

And her first photo shoot

Her first funny face?

Probably how she really felt about all this

But she perked up
I guess Holly’s mother and grandmother came to visit/help too.

Oldest and youngest on the couch

Just the little girls
