Madysen As Biography Groundbreaker [Archives]

You may recall that Layla recently portrayed Abraham Lincoln during her third grade class Biography Day. It should be noted–for the official historical record–that Madysen plowed this same grade several years earlier (i.e., fourth grade). To wit:

I was out of town, and Holly’s parents were in town, so this is Papa on the camera work. But the costume is all Holly. I love the pencil beard.

Update: Seems to have been some sort of technical snafu with that video, so I had to re-edit and encode a new one altogether. In doing so, I realized more of the context of this. First, this is filmed at our then-new Plano house by Papa. Pretty sure I was out of town or really busy with work, so I wasn’t home at the time. I guess Madysen is preparing to make this speech at school because we have five takes, and while only one is presented here, I did add a few of the endings at the end where Madysen makes a funny face. I’m sure that’s how Abe finished The Gettysburg Address.

Also, in re-editing this, I discovered one minute of Layla video (with cameos by Speed and Emma) once again singing the ABCs. She does better than the first time, but it still shimmies a bit near the end. And Madysen is practicing her speech again in the background.
