We’ve sort of covered this ground before, but it can’t resist doing it this way regardless. At least as early as 2004, Emma would regularly leave her bed in search of companionship of a sister. The Stanmore house had enough bedrooms for everyone to have their own, but I know Holly went back and forth on making the extra downstairs bedroom Emma’s room or a guest bed with Emma and Layla sharing. Maybe this trauma triggered Emma’s odd sleep behavior.
Anyway, from my standpoint, it was relatively seamless, she’d didn’t both Holly or I. She just climbed into bed with Madysen or Layla. But she didn’t always make it into a bed. The first time I realized any of this was going on was nearly stepping on her at the top of the steps late one night (pictured above).
It continued along, but Thanksgiving 2004 must have really tuckered her out. On consecutive days that weekend, we found her asleep in the doorway to her bedroom and terribly askew in her own bed (and not in pjs, so I assume this was a nap).

I’m proud to report six years later that she pretty well cured of this syndrome.
