Speaking of morons, I had the opportunity recently to show Speed the utter lack of respect many people have for the fellow man–with the idea that he can avoid such displays himself.
We were at Wal-Mart to purchase three very small items. We stepped into an express lane that clearly stated “20 Items or Less.” I quickly noticed that the woman in front of us had a basket overflowing with items, and I had to find out how many. Come to find out (while I was expressing my great displeasure through non-vocal cues), she had 42 items–not even close to 20 or less. I guess the question is: Was she that dumb? Or that rude? Personally, I don’t care which, but I’m not looking for any other possibilities.
