I’ve been traveling quite a bit lately for work–Holly considers each trip a personal vacation. Last Monday, the destination was Palm Springs, California. I’d never been there. I guess the season starts in October because it was pretty deserted. But I could see the allure. Pretty terrain, nice weather, lots of golf courses (reportedly over a 100), and plenty of nice restaurants.


I had forgotten that the late Sonny Bono had been mayor of Palm Springs until I saw this:

The airport is small, only 10 gates, but it is typically southern Californian–while the ticketing, baggage claim, and gate areas are all enclosed, everything in between–essentially all the walkways between these three areas–is open air covered by large tarp-like covers. Not a bad place to visit.
