Layla and Emma got to spend a couple of hours with me at the office last week. As always, they loved it. Getting special attention from my secretary and others and getting some candy has a lot to do with it. Of course, they drew several pictures–almost all of Emma’s were copies of Layla’s.

Emma complained of not getting enough candy. And Layla made derogatory comments on one of my business cards–calling me “the weirdow” and changing my address to “bathroom” and phone number to PPPPPPPP. Having shown me his mischief, she then altered another one–my name “the cool man,” my address “rox!”, and that my firm “is cool!”
The idea of dinner came up and Emma stridently proposed Jason’s Deli. We suspect her love of Jason’s Deli stems from the inclusion of ice cream. We stopped by the house to pick up Madysen and were headed to Jason’s when we recalled Purple Cow, a cool diner. They have great shakes; we got Purple Vanilla and PB&J shakes. The PB&J shake is really great–maybe my favorite shake to date. I highly recommend it.
