Royal Plays Up In adidas MLS Youth Showcase [Soccer]

In conjunction with the MLS Cup in Frisco (a couple of weeks ago), wherein my boy Clint Dempsey played for the New England Revolution, Madysen’s team played in the MLS Youth Showcase in the U14G division.  They won their first game over Little Rock FC Blue several goals to none.  (This is the kind of game report I get from Holly.)  Madysen almost always plays right midfield and had been asking about playing some at left midfield.  With the game well in hand, the coach put her in at left midfield.  Her first touch was to play the ball up the wing, and she promptly got taken out well behind the play.  Her ankle was significantly injured though not broken.  I think this closes the book on her left midfield days.  It was fun while it lasted!

The won their next game 1-0 over Memphis FC and their final game 3-0 over Greensboro Twisters.
