Once out of the car, Holly&#8217;s left wrist was really bothering her. The EMTs were fairly certain that the wrist was fractured, but she didn&#8217;t want them to take her to the ER. They looked at me as though I had a say in the decision. Finally, they prevailed upon her. (She rated her pain 5 out of 10 (and later 3), so it was less painful than a broken femur and childbirth.)
