On Thanksgiving Eve, the kids and I (Holly didn’t want to go) went to see Flushed Away. As the opening credits started, Emma said, “I love this movie.” The movie was fine, though I’m getting a bit tired of CGI kid flicks.
Thanksgiving morning we watched the Macy’s Day Parade, and Speed, Emma, and I threw the lacrosse ball around. All of the kids helped make a dish each–Layla made the cranberry sauce, Speed the jello salad, Emma the green bean casserole, and Madysen made breakfast muffins. Of course, because Madysen is the last to wake up (not Holly late, just latest among the kids) breakfast was very late. Then Layla made personalized Thanksgiving place-mats.
Dinner was great, and we talked about what we were thankful for. It didn’t take too long because Emma wouldn’t let anyone be thankful for more than one thing. Also, the Cowboys and Dolphins won. Thankfully, it was a good day.
