I Guess It Only Feels Like Emma Is The Star Of The Week Every Week [School]

When we came back from Christmas Break, Emma was to be the “Star of the Week” in her kindergarten class. As such, she had to make a poster about herself. So she and I started looking at pictures on the computer, and she picked out about thirty—way too many to fit on the poster. We cut down the selection even more and ended up with fifteen pictures and one part of the mac & cheese box (her favorite food).

It turned out pretty good, and she was proud of it.

Starting in the top left and working down and then across, we have her first day of school (on the footsteps of the new house), her Halloween costume (Tinker Bell) with her kindergarten class, an Easter egg painted on her face from Easter 2005, swim lessons, with the family at the Tree of Life from our 2004 trip to Walt Disney World, with the other kids, Mary Poppins, and a Penguin from the same trip, a gymnastics picture, with Layla on her fifth birthday, with the kids at the Dallas Arboretum, with “her favorite Aunt” Abby (sorry Sarah, Kathleen, and Kim), the missing mac & cheese box, in her 2005 ballet recital as Alice, with dad at the office, with Belle and Layla from our 2005 trip to Disneyland, with the kids and Matt Hotch of Hot Match Custom Cycles, and–one of my favorite photos–with Layla ready to learn to ski this past Christmas at Pajarito.
