Easter Festivities [Holidays]

Over the Easter weekend, we had a lot going on. Here are some of the highlights.Early Saturday afternoon, my firm had its Easter Picnic at Old City Park. Last year, I got a sunburn at the picnic, this year it snowed–go figure. Other than a nice meal and an egg hunt, there were clowns, balloon makers, face painters, and caricature artists. As is tradition for us, all of the kids got a caricature done–though I forgot to take a picture of Speed’s.

The girls got a picture with the Easter Bunny.

Emma got her face painted like a bunny rabbit,

Layla got a soccer ball on her cheek,

and Speed went whole hog as a tiger. (Madysen was a party pooper.)

Emma got a butterfly balloon.

Layla and Speed got drag car balloons.

That evening, we decorated eggs.

And we made Easter cookies–with edible image decorations.

On Sunday morning, the Easter Bunny had brought everyone some goodies, including a new picnic table for the little girls.

Then the kids hunted eggs.

MonopolyOne other item of note: Emma, Layla, Speed, and I played a marathon game of Monopoly that started on Friday afternoon and eventually ended on Sunday afternoon–with Emma the victor. She had one property with a hotel and everyone landed on it multiple times. (Went much better than the last time.)
