When Emma lost her second tooth a few weeks ago,
she took the tooth to school to show everyone. And then she left it as school for days and days. And then she couldn’t find it. Finally, last Thursday someone gave it to her, and it made it home.
Late Friday evening, we were coming home and I asked her whether the Tooth Fairy had come on Thursday night.
Emma: “No, it fell out of my ziploc bag in bed last night, and I don’t know where it is. I’ll look for it when we get home (at 9:30 p.m.).”
Me: “No, you cannot. It’s too late. If you really wanted to find your tooth you would have been looking for it when I came home today instead of watching TV.”
Emma: “But I love TV more than my tooth.”
