As I noted at the time of her last big ballet production back in May, Layla had decided that she didn’t want to do ballet anymore. So now she’s full swing in a jazz class and loves it. Holly is so sad (me too). But here are a few more pictures Holly’s mom took backstage.
And oh happy day! We recently got the DVD recording of the production–Alice in Wonderland. Watching it includes a lot of comments: “You were such a good ballerina, Layla!”, “Don’t you miss ballet?”, “We’ll buy you an iPod if you go back to ballet and love it!” (one of those is fictional). What’s that I hear from you? Manipulation, you say? Yes, it’s but one of the many arrows in my quiver that I must resort to in dealing with these four kids.
But I digress. So, equipped with my video-editing talent, which are many, I prepared a short video of her performance as one of the Rocking Horseflies.
