On Monday afternoon, Holly went back to the Dr. for her first post-surgery checkup. They took off the ace bandage and the plaster splint underneath to reveal a somewhat shriveled and definitely unclean wrist and hand. After about 15 minutes of washing it, x-rays revealed that the wrist is healing very well. She chose a pink cast, which she’ll have for the next two weeks.
She very excited about the cast as it weighs about 10 lbs. less than her previous bandage and about the fact that the cast leaves her fingers free to be used. Unfortunately, her range of motion with her fingers was almost non-existent yesterday afternoon. All in all, good news.
