The State Fair Of Texas: Most Of The Cost, A Smidgen Of The Atmosphere Of WDW [Dallas]

Holly got me pretty good. Over the weekend, she suggested that I take the kids to the State Fair on Monday. What she failed to mention was that it was “Everyone Go to the Fair Day!” (Speed had an orthodontist appointment that ended well and Madysen went with a friend, so it was really just me and the little girls.)

The first couple of hours were actually okay–not too crowded or hot. But neither lasted too long. They rode a Spongebob Squarepants 4-D ride, which went much better for Emma than did the last 3-D experience. They rode some rides, played some games on the Midway (spending $40 to win $5 in stuffed animals), ate Fletcher’s Corny Dogs, fried coke and fried oreos (the latter of which I highly recommend), visited the petting zoo, and worked a farm. I have no idea what Madysen did other than go to the Jonas Brothers’ concert.
