So it was a pretty slow week around our house.
Madysen had her first district JV soccer game on Tuesday afternoon against Frisco Wakeland. It was freezing cold, though I can’t complain as they let the parents sit in the enclosed press box. Madysen played pretty well, though not aggressive enough for my liking. And for her trouble, she came home with a huge strawberry on her thigh. They won 2-0.
On Friday, Madysen and Speed had their games cancelled because of cold weather. Weak!
On Saturday, Speed attended his first Bar Mitzvah. The three-hour ceremony was a little long, but he made it through–even in his tie and sport coat! He came home for a few hours after lunch before heading back to a dinner (and dancing) celebration at Nove, a very nice Italian restaurant. He got a yamaka as a momento of the event.

A coat and tie? Wow
There were also a couple of birthday parties (one bowling and one swimming) and a 7th grade party (also bowling).
Finally, after seeing a dog food commercial, Emma turned to me: “When I move out, I’m getting a dog–and a parrot.” Okie dokie.
By the look on his face, it looks more like he was going to his circumcision!!
