The Office Easter Picnic [Holidays]

You might have noticed that last weekend was Easter weekend. We sure did. On Saturday, we attended the annual office Easter picnic (see recaps of 2005, 2006, and 2007).

We are getting a bit smarter about the caricatures now that we’ve done this for four or five years. Instead of being the last ones at the picnic hoping that the artist will stay a bit late to finish one or two more kids, we got there a tad early and went directly to get the caricatures done. They turned out–as always–great.

Then it was time to hunt for eggs. Madysen and Speed abstained.

The little girls got their faces painted–again, the party poopers abstained.

Towards the end of the picnic they had some games. Tug of war, horse races (Emma and Layla were disappointed to learn that they weren’t really horses but stick horses), and some other things.

Layla and Emma participated in was a hula hoop contest. Layla started hers the wrong direction and didn’t last that long. Emma, on the other hand, is a hula hoop beast. She and one boy went on so long that they declared them co-champs. Woo hoo!
