So it’s been more than a month since Layla played soccer–which is far too long. She’s decided that academy soccer is too time-consuming for her, so she’s playing in the Y league again for the Blue Stars. They were supposed to have a game before spring break, but they won when the other team forfeited.
There first game played was Saturday against the Silver Stars–I’ll leave it to you to figure out which team is which. Layla played better than I’ve ever seen, most likely due to my pre-game pep talk on the drive over. They were up 2-0 but could only manage a 2-2 tie.
