On Sunday, Madysen, Speed, and I went to watch the final round of the EDS Byron Nelson Championship at the TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas. It didn’t start out as a particularly pleasant day–high in the mid 50s, windy, and damp from overnight rain.
The good news is the crowd was pretty thin, especially early on. We watched about half the field come through the 1st. In fact, we saw all six of the leaders bogey that hole. By early afternoon, the sun started to peak out and the crowd thickened. We watched the action at the picturesque par-3 17th. Only one guy found water while we were watching.
The tournament ended with a flourish. Three sudden death playoff holes ended when Adam Scott drained a 50-foot putt to win over Ryan Moore.
