Somewhat Less Duty Bound to Mention: Wolfe [Books]

Wolfe on NRO And apparently, this is the week for me to mention some of my favorite personalities that have recently made public appearances. Today, Tom Wolfe. I guess I never considered naming the blog “The Wolfe File” or something a little creative (like, say, “The Spats File”), but I am a huge, huge fan of Wolfe’s works. I especially recommend The Right Stuff.

Anyway, Peter Robinson posted a five-part interview with Wolfe on National Review Online. The interview is part of Robinson’s show Uncommon Knowledge with Peter Robinson. Wolfe discusses his current book project, which he says will be published in the fall of 2009–yeah, right. From there, Robinson and Wolfe go far afield on questions about the “charming aristocracy;” Darwin, Marx, and Freud; and America in the coming centuries. Interesting stuff.
