It doesn’t seem that long ago that I embarrassed the kids on the first day of school. But it was nine months ago–and an entire school year. As of Friday, school is officially over for our kids and summer is upon us.
That means that Madysen is now a junior (yikes), Speed is a freshman (quadruple yikes), Layla, now a 5th grade, moves over to the 5th & 6th grade school, and Emma, a 3rd grader, is our only kid in elementary school. Wow.
Layla, graduating from elementary school, had a big ceremony celebrating the event–for all the 4th graders, not just for Layla. She’s very happy to be moving on as she was very ready to get out of elementary school.

Layla was really moving across the stage to get her certificate

A lot of kids singing "God Bless America"

Second row, center; notice how the boy to her right is looking the exact opposite direction of almost everyone else

Last time at this locker
So now that summer is here, it will be its own kind of crazy. Holly tells me that everyone will be home together just one week. Should be fun?
