All Good (And Scary) Things Must Come To An End [Family]

Primarily, the good thing that ended: My peace and quiet at home. Though Emma was around all week, other than the incessant talking, she’s pretty easy going. (She did have fun at gymnastics camp this week getting a first place ribbon for vault, second place for all around, and honorable mention for “stick”–whatever that is.)

But that all came to an end when Layla returned from her coastal South Carolina trip on Friday night. And then the real pain-in-my-side: Madysen and Speed returned from their Florida trip with my parents and most of my siblings. Madysen says Grandma told her stories about my childhood summers down there, but they are all lies. Nothing to see (or talk) about.

Besides, I’m not sure there was anything as embarrassing as this?

Of course, Speed over-indulged himself.

And, in an amazing feat, the numerous trips to Dunkin’ Donuts has turned Speed off of donuts for at least a week. Nana took plenty of photos, but here is one final one of the entire crew minus Nana.

Already, the summer has moved to the next things. Holly, Emma, and Layla are off to Oklahoma for the week where the little girls will be going to basketball camp. That means I’ve got Madysen and Speed all week. Good thing I’m really busy.
