Can’t believe I didn’t bring you this earlier, but it’s been a bit distracting around here lately. Forgive me.
Nearly two months ago, the whole family went, for the first time, to see Brian Regan live at the Majestic Theatre. Everyone loves Brian–with the exception of Holly–and has seen his DVDs and listened to his CD many, many times. So–again, with the exception of Holly–everyone was looking forward to it (though not like my parents look forward to seeing Brian; pretty sure Brian has a restraining order against my mother).
And the concert itself did not disappoint. Brian was extremely funny. Unfortunately, Emma didn’t like the opening act or something because she got physically ill just as Brian started. So she and Holly spent the entire time in the bathroom and lobby, which was just fine with Holly. Emma did hear him do Cup of Dirt from the lobby.
But even before we got inside the Theatre, other forms of illness took hold of at least one of us. Madysen was wearing a relatively new jacket. At the mention of a slight chill in the air, Madysen noted that the pockets to her jacket didn’t even work! Hysterically, Holly explained to her that they were shown that way and that you had to remove the stitch once you bought it.
Okay, so Madysen didn’t know that. Funny, right? But not the craziest thing ever. No, that came next. Holly decided she was going to remove the stitches right then and there–and she would use her teeth to do it. It was pretty exciting watching Madysen’s horrified expression as Holly–twice–bit Madysen’s jacket on a city street.
